Dear Fellow Rotarians
After several years’ of intensive planning and preparations the Rotary International Convention 2006 was completed in June. We are still trying to collect our thoughts and memories of this fantastic Rotary-Event and to consider how we can transfer our experiences to coming HOCs.
Thanks for coming to Beautiful Malmö and Wonderful Copenhagen to attend and celebrate with us the first Rotary International Convention in the second century of the history of Rotary. It was nice having you all with us, and we sincerely hope that you enjoyed and took advantage of the official program in Bella Center as well as the activities that HOC offered you.
The real pleasure is that being back in your hometown you still feel that the trip and stay lived up to your expectations or even better – surpassed them. Did you take advantage of the many opportunities for making new friendships and consolidating old ones?
Up to now we have received quite a lot of positive mails from participants from various parts of the world. Most of them stress the special intimacy of this Convention.
If you want to have a look at some of the pictures from the Convention you have two choices www.rotary.org/newsroom or www.riconvention2006.org. This latter website will be closed down in a couple of months.
 Some people like to have a long-lasting memento of a special event or location and some people are dedicated collectors of the world-famous plaques from Royal Copenhagen. To those Rotarians we want to mention the following:
